History & Legacy 

Victory Recovery Homes Sydney is an extension of Victory Homes International which began in 1967 in East Los Angeles. Sonny & Julie Arguinzoni opened the first home in Los Angeles and we have become one of the largest faith based recovery homes in the world. We have programs operating in Mexico, England, Panama, El Salvador, Holland, Phillippines, Indonesia, South Africa. New Zealand to name a few. We house internationally 7,000 or more men and women in our recovery homes around the world every year. For many years most of our Recovery Home Directors & Pastoral leaders are graduates from our Victory Recovery Homes.

Sonny Arguinzoni was one of the very first converts & graduates of Teen Challenge International with Pastor David Wilkerson & Evangelist Nicky Cruz in New York City in the early 1960's. He served as a recovery director and leader with them for a number of years ministering the gospel and sharing of the power of God to transform gang members and drug addicts through Christ Centred recovery homes. In 1967, Sonny eventually felt the call of 
God to open a church and recovery homes to reach broken people and to see people fulfill the call of God and discover their divine purpose in life.

Since then by God's grace and a supernatural move of God the ministry has expanded all around the world and the vision has been carried on by men and women who have overcome addiction and been restored through a faith in Christ, by building a new life with values and principles found in the Holy Scriptures to make ones life fruitful (Psalms 1:1-3) Through experiencing this new life and transformation a burden is developed to want to help others in need to see more people have the same or similar change in the life, true freedom and complete victory over addiction.
